Going back to forms for a second, perhaps my biggest question is why Arment felt he had to create another platform to foster long form, non-traditional, financially viable writing. Wasn’t that Instapaper’s destiny? Isn’t it already poised to accomplish what he’s setting out to do with The Magazine? You might even argue Instapaper is in a better position given its popularity among a new generation of readers that want to be the the gravitational center of the content they consume.
