✱ Cheddar - Perfectly Simple Lists

A few days ago the new todo app Cheddar hit the App Store. When I first heard about it I was a little skeptical since on the surface it seemed very basic. What I didn’t realize until I tried it, was that the simplicity was by design. Cheddar is a beautiful and easy way to keep lists and tasks. Where the power comes in is with the unbelievably fast syncing. Cheddar is available on the web, iPhone, and iPad. Change something on any of your devices, it’s instantly pushed to the others; and I mean instantly. In my usage of a ton of apps over the years, I can say that I haven’t ever seen a sync service this speedy.

The app features beautiful typography from H&FJ, and has an overall pleasant and straightforward interface. Cheddar even supports span-level Markdown. While that may not seem useful at first, I have to say that I absolutely love this feature. I’m so used to writing for the web that using Markdown in my tasks seems natural. You can also easily add emoji and code if that’s your thing. The web interface is just as simplistic and easy to use as the iPhone and iPad apps, creating a great cross-platform experience.

If you’re looking for a simple way to keep your tasks in order, you should definitely check it out. There’s an optional “Plus” account available for purchase which enables you to add more lists. Cheddar is available for free on the App Store.
